Constructed the RPCS Athletic Complex, Dwyer Fitness Center, Fisher Field, Emily Smith Little Bear Child Care Center, and Meghan Smith Rowing Tank for crew; increased endowment for faculty compensation and student financial assistance.
The athletic facility also houses three teaching gyms and one main competition court, additional classroom and meeting space, locker rooms for RPCS students, visiting teams and officials, a suspended running track and a horizontal climbing wall. In addition, the complex boasts a second synthetic turf field and a newly landscaped parking lot for both employees and students.
The RPCS Athletic Complex was completed in September of 2008 and has been awarded LEED Gold certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.) The project was designed by Bowie Gridley Architects as an environmentally responsible “green” building, both inside and out, and was constructed by Roy Kirby & Sons.
The School's endowment received commitments of outright and deferred gifts in excess of $5.9 million. These funds provide much needed non-tuition dollars which are directed to financial assistance, faculty compensation and professional development.
Active solicitation efforts for A Place in Our Hearts were completed in June 2011.
An on-going capital giving program is in place, seeking support for specific Board-designated projects and endowment growth.
