Faculty Openings
Arabic, High School (80%- 100%) – Upper School Arabic teacher for levels I, II, III and IV. The ideal candidate is fluent in Arabic, adept at cooperative learning techniques and teaching to multiple learning styles, and is able to actively engage students in the learning process. Candidates should be able to teach a spoken Arabic variety, as well as Modern Standard Arabic. Arabic instruction at RPCS emphasizes communicative language and culture. Candidates should enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues. RPCS is a laptop school; candidates are expected to be able to integrate technology into the curriculum. Upper School Math Teacher: Roland Park Country School is looking for a full time mathematics teacher for the Upper School. The position is to teach four classes and serve as advisor to a group of students. The ideal candidate will not only love mathematics, but be eager to share his or her passion with an enthusiastic student body. The candidate should have a strong background in mathematics and be prepared to teach a broad spectrum of topics from Algebra to AP level courses. The math department uses an integrated program that incorporates Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Probability and Statistics into a three year course of study followed by AP level courses and/or senior electives. Classroom instruction at Roland Park is a combination of student explorations, class discussions, and teacher led activities. Technology is interwoven into the curriculum with the use of calculators and tablet computers. The ideal candidate should be excited to work within this framework to engage students as well as to collaborate frequently with department members.
