Each day when your daughter arrives at After School Program, she
will be seated by grade for daily attendance and announcements.
Crafts and inside/outside playtime begin immediately and your daughter
will unwind after a long day. At 4:00 p.m. snack is served and
then your daughter can either continue to do art and play, or she
may choose to go to the homework room or lab. Please note that
depending on the weather we may require your daughter to wear the
appropriate clothing to play outside, so please send her prepared,
with a jacket.
All 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will be required to spend
a minimum of 30 minutes in the homework room each Monday-Thursday.
If no homework is assigned we will ask your child to read or write
quietly for 30 minutes. We do this to promote good study habits
and to support the teachers’ and parents’ efforts inside
and outside of the classroom. Students in grades K, Pre-1st, 1st,
and 2nd will have the option of attending the homework room.
To enroll your daughter in the After School Program, you may print
out and mail in the on-line form, or you may stop by the Lower
School office or the Harris Center and pick up a form. On the enrollment
form you may choose how may days per week and hours your daughters
will attend the After School Program. Children who are not enrolled
are also welcome to join the fun after school on a drop-in basis.
Costs for enrollment are on the form and also on the link in this
website. Any girls who are on campus at 3:45 p.m. will automatically
be enrolled in After School for the day and charged as a drop-in.
It is important to complete your enrollment form in its entirety
so that we know who has authorization to pick your daughter up,
important health information, emergency contact numbers, etc. Please
be sure to let the Director know if there are any changes. If there
is a health concern warranting attention during the After School
Program, parents will be called and we will request that you pick
your daughter up as soon possible. The After School Program does
have access to first aid supplies and at least one counselor is
trained in Community First Aid and CPR by the American Red Cross.
When you pick your daughter up at the end of the day, we ask that
you sign her out, and indicate the time, for your safety and our
records.
Children must be picked up by the contracted time that you have
selected. An additional fee will be assessed at the drop in rate
of $12 per hour. Any student who is enrolled in the After School
Program who has not been signed out by 6:00 p.m. will be sent up
with a counselor to the Harris Center. You will be charged $30
per every quarter hour.
We look forward to having your daughter participate in the RPCS
After School Program.
